Our journey took us to the Yorkshire Dales in a place called Asenby near Thirsk. What a wonderful site greets you in the form of a wonderful public house with a thatched roof and lots of strange and wonderful objects strategically placed on and around it. After all it was the Crab & Lobster so a crab and lobster is what we saw. It is the kind of site you see in your lifetime where you wonder if you are still deep in a dream or on some kind of medication. Needless to say we were definitely not on the latter. This beautiful little building is the start of your wonderful weekend break, holiday or maybe even wedding day. More about this pub later. Just around the back we found the Crab Manor Hotel. As you drive into the graveled car park two large white hounds greet you in a very welcoming way. The dog statues line the way to the magnificent front door surrounded by climbing ivy which reaches right up to the rooftop. In fact as we looked around the whole grounds was a gardeners dream with trees of all colours and species, shrubs plants and flowers. If this was a taste of the opulence inside then we were in for a great treat. Stepping into the hallway, well, what can I say it is to be seen to be believed. Decorated with beautiful artifacts and antiques, we did not know where to look first. I could see an enormous and I mean enormous yeti in the window of the staircase wearing a pinny. There was the biggest clock I have ever seen in my life on the wall. For anyone with bad eyesight worry not. To tell you everything we could see just from the area we were stood in would constitute pages and pages of description. Take my word for it unusual is the word that comes to mind. You will be greeted by the receptionist who is also very informative as well as kind and be shown to the room of your choice, which could be the Waldorf Atoria in New York the Cipriana Palace in Venice. La Mamounia Hotel in Marrakesh and many more. We stayed at the Sharrow Bay hotel in Ullswater. As we walked through the door a Four Poster bed looms ahead of you with drapes and cherubs and beautiful bedding. I could not wait to lie under the canopy and imagine I was royalty at least. Down a couple of steps is the sitting room with television, wonderful furniture and Crisps! Yes crisps not just any old crisps but packaged in a container I have never seen before and enough to feed an army. Biscuits, coffee and teas. Next we walked into the bathroom and oh my goodness me what a lavish room. Maybe this is where I might stay for the whole two days. Languishing in bubbles till my skin turned into a prune. A Roll top bath stood in the centre of the room was a dream come true, for me anyway. Beautiful taps and tiled floor covering, with elaborate plaster cherubs on the walls. Having recovered from the shock of all the decor and amenities we were shown then to the Jacuzzi outside which was the icing on the cake. Lights would twinkle in the evening to make it so romantic and create a great atmosphere for any couple. We changed after a while and went down to the little pub just a short walk away. Well, what met us was the most twinkly, warm inviting atmosphere I have ever been in. Hundreds and hundreds of curious antiques and "things" everywhere. You would just have to go and see for yourself for me to even touch on what we saw. Yellow tablecloths and serviettes brought out the whole room and we were just dumb struck. We ordered lamb and our faces both showed the delight simultaneously at the succulence of the meat and the taste as we ate on and on into the night. It is renowned also as a fish restaurant but on this occasion we plumbed for the Lamb. Next time. All the staff were keen to make our evening superb and it was, we could not fault any of it. There was not one single solitary negative comment we could think of. Our night was wonderful under my royal canopy and when morning came we descended once again down to the restaurant for Breakfast. This time it was in the conservatory. Once again I can only say you would have to go and experience the decor and what I can only say as incredible. For breakfast we did sample the fish, which was on the most enormous plate with as much toast and tea, juice and coffee as you could drink. I did not want any of my experience at the Crab & Lobster to end it had been a fairy tale stay. All was not over as the day before I had asked if I could look at the other rooms as well as the Log Cabins in the grounds all with various places in the world as their theme. Not only were we shown around but by the General Manager and indeed the kindest man. He took us to every room and explained the decorations behind them. He spared us lots of time and we appreciated the tour enormously. If you can go and experience what we did then you will have the most fantastic weekend break, holiday or wedding, whatever you choose to book, you will ever have without the long journey to get there. I wanted to pass on the whole experience to you, especially as I have not stopped taking about it since. near me hotels cheap hotels near me hotels near me that are pet friendly hotels near me jacuzzi in room hotel near me with pool hotels near me extended stay hotels near me weekly rates hotels near me now hotels near me jobs hotels near me with jacuzzi hotels near me by the week hotels near me tonight hotels near me hot tub hotels near me with hot tub hotels near me 5 star hotels near me available hotels near me prices hotels near me cheap weekly rates hotels near me hourly hotels near me rates casinos near me with hotels hotels near me that allow pets hotels near me allow pets hotels near me pets allowed hotels near me under $100 hotels near me trivago hotels near me cheap prices hotels near me available tonight hotels near me low price hotels near me for couples hotels near me that allow smoking hotels near me that accept pets hotels near me map hotels near me under $50 hotels near me right now hotels near me oklahoma city hotels near me in chicago hotels near me available now hotels near me orlando hotels near me jacksonville fl hotels near me miami hotels near me check in now hotels near me hiring for housekeeping hotels near me under $40 hotels near me in orlando hotels near me in houston tx hotels near me austin tx hotels near me denver hotels near me open now hotels near me 4 star hotels near me colorado springs hotels near me el paso tx hotels near me motel 6 hotels near me los angeles hotels near me accept pets hotels near me columbia sc hotels near me new orleans hotels near me jacksonville hotels near me hilton hotels near me downtown hotels near me new jersey hotels near me nj hotels near me san francisco hotels near me days inn hotels near me super 8 hotels near me dallas tx near me cheap hotels hotels near me bronx ny hotels near me nashville tn hotels near me la quinta hotels near me dogs allowed hotels near me denver co hotels near me memphis tn hotels near me 3 star hotels near me baton rouge hotels near me quality inn hotels near me under 21 hotels near me no deposit jobs near me hotels hotels near me pensacola fl hotels near me raleigh nc hotels near me you can book at 18 near me hotels near me hotels near me by the beach hotels near me holiday inn express hotels near me kissimmee fl hotels near me buffalo ny hotels near me less than $100 hotels near me queens hotels near me richmond va hotels near me in brooklyn hotels near me omaha ne hotels near me 77084 hotels near me on the water hotels near me open 24 hours hotels near me romantic hotels near me 60$ hotels near me in new jersey hotels near me kansas city mo hotels near me valdosta ga hotels near me kayak hotels near me virginia hotels near me econo lodge hotels near me jersey city hotels near me 77090 vacancies near me hotels hotels near me el paso hotels near me $70 hotels near me for stay hotels near me 2 queen beds motels and hotel near me hotels near me jacksonville nc hotels near me 60628 near me hotels for dinner beaches near me with hotels hotels near me $100 hotels near me killeen tx hotels near me 77034 hotels near me 50 miles hotels near me elizabeth nj hotels near me 24 hours hotels near me 24 hour pool hotels near me 20 miles hotels near me edmonton near me hotels room near me hotels veg hotels near me justdial hotels near me oyo near me hotels non veg

Travelling is one activity that every individual must undertake at one time or the other; it does not matter what the purpose of travel is, or whether the travel is local or international. A lot of people actually look forward to travelling to other parts of the world for various reasons and purposes, including but not limited to business, tourism, vacation, pilgrimage, education and for medical attention. The euphoria to travel outside of one's domain usually comes with a lot of preparations, and more often than not, a great deal of resources are deployed to ensure that the travel is actually takes place; and these include acquisition of an international passport, medical tests (where applicable), expensive visa processing fees, flight booking and hotel reservation. A lot of people will do anything and everything just to actualise their international travel ambition. And to be very candid here, international travel is actually fun and something to look forward to. Travelling, especially international travels, is a form of education for the travellers as they have an opportunity to see new environments, meet new people, and learn how things are done elsewhere. International travel affords the traveller a lot of opportunities irrespective of their original purpose of travel. These include business opportunities, educational opportunities, employment opportunities and even marital opportunities. Unfortunately, however, it is only these and many other opportunities that these (would-be) travellers see. They seem to be ignorant or care less about risks that are embedded in international travels, so they don't take any steps towards mitigating such risks. At this juncture, you may be tempted to ask the question: "What are those risks that are associated with international travels?" Very good question. Just read on, as most of those risks are discussed in the following paragraphs. Risks Associated with International Travels As interesting, fun, enjoyable, profitable and educative as international travels may be, they also come with their own downsides - the risks - just as every other thing in life. And very fortunately for travellers, most of these risks can be transferred to professional travel insurance providers, by way of buying a travel insurance - also referred to as "travel health insurance" or "travel medical insurance". These international travel risks are many and varied, and they include, but not limited to: Sudden illness in the country of destination requiring urgent medical attention and/or hospitalization. Involvement in an accident leading to bodily injuries, temporary or permanent disability, or death Loss of checked-in baggage Loss of valuable items such as international passport, drivers' licence, national identity card, etc. Personal liabilities abroad Emergency dental cases Hijacking Arrest by law enforcement agencies requiring bail and legal defence Another question that may be asked at this juncture is: "Do travel insurance policies cover all the above-mentioned risks?" And the answer is a big YES, and so much more. Covers and Benefits Provided by Major Travel Insurance Policies Below is a list of most of the covers and benefits provided by travel insurance policies - depending on the providers. This is so important because you may be required to produce that document by relevant bodies. You should take particular note of your policy number (if possible copy the number somewhere else) as it will be required by the service providers to property identify you when you call them for assistance. Another thing you should take note of on your travel insurance certificate or policy document is the Assistance Company's telephone numbers that you need to call when you need help. These numbers are always conspicuously written on the travel insurance document - so take note of them.
